Patchwork

Here is a more broad look at some of the projects that I have created.  This collection patches together a fuller picture some of my explorations in the areas of printmaking, soft goods design, and graphic design.

Crochet Tops

I am very passionate about crocheting and have created many clothing items over the years.

Depicted here are a couple of tops I created freehand at the beginning of 2025. With these designs, I wanted to challenge myself by incorporating lace elements.

Ukiyo-e

Ukiyo-e-inspired print made in the spring of 2025 on Japanese paper.

This print consists of five relief carvings. I was drawn to the ukiyo-e style of design and worked with the paper to create an intriguing composition.

Plastic Top

This project was created in the fall of 2023 by repurposing plastic grocery bags to create a yarn.

With that plastic yarn cut and spun, I could crochet a top — sustainable and reimagined. I used the standard granny square technique to create the vest. Aiming to contrast the wastefulness of the plastic with the careful, meticulous tradition of the granny square.

Programming Guide

Created in the spring of 2025 during my time working at my college radio station.

Since the station had expressed difficulties communicating this message in the past, I knew I wanted to create a compelling visual for the guide that did not sacrifice clarity.  To craft that clear, linear experience, I decided to model the design after a static television which would also add to the grungy college-radio aesthetic.
